Mental capacity

Being able to make your own decisions. Someone without mental capacity is unable to make their own decisions due to an illness or disability.

Mirror Will

Most commonly used to refer to individual Wills made by two people, and whose provisions reflect each other entirely or for the most part (i.e. the Wills mirror each other). Also refers to couples who make their Wills at the same time.

Mortgagee

The lender in a mortgage arrangement. (The property is mortgaged by the borrower to the lender).

Mortgagor

The borrower in a mortgage arrangement.

Mutual Will

Mutual Wills are Wills made by two people in which each person agrees to make their Will in a specified form not to revoke it without the consent of the other person. Sometimes confused with mirror Wills.
