In the online interview, you will be asked the question of whether you want to leave everything you own as a single gift or whether perhaps you may wish to divide and distribute your estate amongst a number of different people and or organisations known as beneficiaries.

If you would like everything you own (known as your Residuary Estate) to go to one person, or a group of people, then you can select 'Yes' to this initial question. You will then be asked later on in the interview who you would like this single gift to go to considering both an initial beneficiary and also a back up/ contingent beneficiary in the event they die before you.

If you would like to make specific gifts of cash, personal possessions or property to other individuals, you should select 'No' at this point. You will then be asked to provide more detail about the types of gift you wish to make, including how you wish to distribute your estate for instance who is to receive money/ possessions/ property and so on.

It is possible to also name charities and other organisations in addition to named person/s.
